TUD WORKSHOP @HvA
DESCRIPTION
CONTENT & APPROACH
This workshop focuses on robotic prototyping using wood. Environmental, structural, and acoustic aspects are integrated into design as well as material and robotic path requirements. Students learn hands-on skills pertaining to a computationally and robotically driven approach towards architectural design. Analysis based quantification coupled together with qualitative space generation, as interdependent processes will be explored. This workshop will prompt students towards an understanding of computation and robotic methodologies, as well as tools and techniques for D2RPA&O.
The workshop uses as base for investigation a fragment of the 100YBP pavilion schematically designed by MSc 4 students Kim Heeyoun and Hidde Manders: http://100ybp.roboticbuilding.eu/pdf/MSc2D2RP19_int.ppsx
