Design Proposal

With mineral depletion and climate change becoming more noticeable we are bound to adept in order to deal with the problems. In order to tackle these problems circularity has become more important within the design proces. This has led to unsustainable building being transformed to sustainable buildings in order to keep up with current and coming criteria towards sustainability. One of these buildings is the transformation of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. It is the context of a new AMC where I would like to propose my design concept. My concept proposes a transformed section of the AMC to behave with the characteristics of a bluecity. Within this blueAmc their will be a special focus on the usages of fungi and all it's properties. This will include the ideal properties of fungi to create antibiotics as well as cleanse organic waste. This will mean this section will be rebuild/transformed with fungi as a building material as much as is possible.
